Faced with the aging of fleets, the obsolescence of components, new regulatory requirements (accessibility, safety, EQS...), and increasing pressure on investment costs, rail operators must rethink the management of the life cycle of their rolling stock.

Mid-life, a strategic question arises: should we replace, modernize or extend the use of the existing park? Within Hexafret, regulatory monitoring already exists on which ECE relies. However, it proved necessary to complete this monitoring in order to cover all the countries in which Hexafret operates, in particular Germany, Spain and Italy.
