Long-term support since 2011

It is a long-term partnership between MASTERIS, the specialist in rail maintenance and engineering and the historical operator of the urban transport network of the European Metropolis of Lille, Ilévia (Keolis Lille Métropole).

The service contract was initially launched in 2011 following the development of a strategic partnership within the SNCF group. The collective adventure started in 2008 between the Equipment Engineering teams and the SNCF Industrial Technicenter in Rennes, specialized in heritage rail brake maintenance, and the Transpole teams (ex Ilévia).

Creation of a specialized workshop

Determined to seek autonomy for the maintenance and maintenance of its hydraulic braking equipment, SNCF has acquired a new industrial tool to serve the needs of its Keolis subsidiaries by investing €1.5 million.

A new workshop was therefore created within the SNCF Industrial Technicenter in Rennes in 2010. The SNCF teams are supported in their skills development on this equipment by Keolis Lille Métropole within the framework of a 5-year partnership.

Confidence renewed three times, in 2018, in 2022 and in 2025

Satisfied by the quality of industrial and engineering services but also by the commercial relationship delivered by the MASTERIS teams, Keolis Lille Métropole decided to renew the duration of the contract for an additional two years in 2022.

Global expertise at the service of Keolis Lille

The choice to extend this strategic partnership with MASTERIS highlights the level of commitment and cooperation of the teams in the quality of service delivered to Keolis Lille Métropole.

The two partners have been able to capitalize on real know-how in maintenance and railway engineering on vital parts such as those composing the hydraulic braking of automatic metro assets.

In particular, we have collectively implemented tailor-made works in order to provide the operator with optimizations in the asset maintenance of its equipment.

The operator benefits from tailor-made solutions and optimizations of the asset maintenance of its equipment as well as acquired technical expertise in the management of component obsolescence.

This results in a compliance rate close to 100%.

In Dakar, we are far from major European rail networks, so in the event of incidents it is important to be able to react quickly and independently. This is why it was important to improve the skills of the teams in lifting our Coradia machines and our work trains. MASTERIS was able to respond quickly and effectively to our expectations.

Within Hexafret, regulatory monitoring already exists on which ECE relies. However, it proved necessary to complete this monitoring in order to cover all the countries in which Hexafret operates, in particular Germany, Spain and Italy. Hexafret therefore turned to MASTERIS in 2024 to provide this service.

After a first year of collaboration, Hexafret satisfied with both the content and the contractual relationship, extended the regulatory monitoring contract in 2025. We appreciate its synthetic side.
