Background & Challenges

In 2020, CFL (Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois), national railway operator in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, requested the expertise of MASTERIS to assist it in overhauling its rolling stock bogies for 4 years.

The Project Focused On 132 bogies equipping the CFL TER2NNG fleet, whose length of service required a thorough review to ensure the safety, reliability and availability of the equipment. This operation was carried out in partnership with the Technicentre Industriel de Nevers, a key player in The renovation and maintenance of rolling stock as well as PRM (Repairable Equipment Parts).

In Dakar, we are far from major European rail networks, so in the event of incidents it is important to be able to react quickly and independently. This is why it was important to improve the skills of the teams in lifting our Coradia machines and our work trains. MASTERIS was able to respond quickly and effectively to our expectations.

Within Hexafret, regulatory monitoring already exists on which ECE relies. However, it proved necessary to complete this monitoring in order to cover all the countries in which Hexafret operates, in particular Germany, Spain and Italy. Hexafret therefore turned to MASTERIS in 2024 to provide this service.

After a first year of collaboration, Hexafret satisfied with both the content and the contractual relationship, extended the regulatory monitoring contract in 2025. We appreciate its synthetic side.
