MASTERIS, a key partner in the Eurostar BL3 project

Eurostar is upgrading the signaling system on its 17 VELARO E320 trains
Eurostar International Limited (EIL) has acquired 17 VELARO E320 high-speed trains from Siemens Mobility GmbH for use in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, the Channel Tunnel, and England.
To ensure and sustain its European operations, the ETCS (European Train Control System) on Eurostar trains will be updated to the Baseline 3 set of specifications by 12/31/2023.
A collaboration with the SNCF Rolling Stock Division and the Rolling Stock Engineering Center
MASTERIS, the SNCF Rolling Stock Division, and the Rolling Stock Engineering Center are working together to fully meet the requirements of their client, Eurostar. This service primarily involves defining and establishing an effective strategy to demonstrate compliance with French national rules, while leveraging the legacy of the V9.1 (TGV) system to avoid repeating tests that can be reused.
As part of the BL3 project, MASTERIS is managing the commercial aspects and overseeing the operations conducted by the Rolling Stock Division. The company will also provide Eurostar with the list of tests to be performed once the system upgrade is complete, thereby supporting them through the network admission process.
